EntreLeadership Post 3

Hello Everyone! Yesterday the place I live in experienced its first snowfall, and it has been lovely! I do not know about you guys, but I love the snow and how pretty it makes things look. It gives me a sort of cozy, stay at home type of feeling. There is really nothing like it! Today I will be talking about chapter 5 in EntreLeadership, called No Magic, No Mystery . This chapter discusses marketing! The main point that Dave Ramsey pushes is to back up and look at the big picture of what you are trying to market, the environment, the timing, and more. He also discusses the importance of momentum, and how we create momentum rather than just wait for it to build. It takes hard and consistent work to build momentum.  Ramsey also discussed the product lifecycle and recognizing what points your product or service is at in that lifecycle. Lastly, he discusses what he calls the "marketing stew", made up of (1) passion, (2) activity, (3) scarcity, (4) urgency, and (5) the "Mome...

EntreLeadership Post 2

Happy Thanksgiving!! Hopefully, everyone has had a lovely holiday, whichever way it has been spent. Personally, I spent the holiday with my family at home, and we had turkey (classic), mac and cheese (probably my favorite dish), hot potato casserole, broccoli casserole, and soon-to-be pumpkin pie and apple pie! My mom also made maple pecan fudge, which I know will rock my world as I love a good maple dessert 😋. Today I wanted to talk with you guys about chapter 3 of Dave Ramsey's book EntreLeadership . This chapter focuses on time management and organization , and for people in the 21st century who juggle sooooo many different things almost on a daily basis, this topic will be extremely helpful. Sometimes I wonder what it must have been like for people in past centuries. I imagine that there has been a consistent need for time management in an organization as people have always needed to provide for themselves. Anyways, on to our topic! In chapter 3, Ramsey discussed the importan...

EntreLeadership Post 1

Welcome back on this Monday evening! It is starting to get more chilly outside, here where I am at! You know what that means... Time for some hot cocoa and Christmas movies!!! Today we will begin to dive into EntreLeadership, primarily focusing on what EntreLeadership is and how it can be applied. In his book, Dave Ramsey discusses both entrepreneurs and leaders and describes how they had come to mesh together into the right balance for his business. A few terms he used to describe the entreleader are: " passionately serving ", " disciplined risk-takers ", " courageous while humble ", and " influential leaders " (page 10). He defined EntreLeadership as " the process of leading to cause a venture to grow " (page 11). He also discusses the importance of looking in the mirror, as your actions and attitudes will be reflected in the actions and attitudes of your team.  Additionally, Ramsey emphasises the difference between LEADERS and BOSSE...

Introduction to New Project: EntreLeadership!

Image
Hello friends, and welcome back to my blog! Today I will be discussing a new project that will grow both me and you on our road to growth! As you may know, I am a marketing major and one of the purposes of this blog is to satisfy one element of my Digital Marketing class. The class has been very informative and helpful in me understanding how to manage my brand digitally, and I plan to take what I have learned there to help me reach you! Hopefully, I will be able to reach more of you and grow a community of people who have a desire - whether small or big - to read, and potentially we can learn how to make tasty treats along the way! Over the course of several weeks, I will be reading through Dave Ramsey's bestseller, EntreLeadership . My goal in reading this is to further my growth as a leader for my current leadership position at my local Chick-fil-a, as well as to prepare me for future opportunities. I want to share what I learn with you so that we can all benefit from the concep...
